A Celebration of Art, Culture, and Stories that Connect Us: Submit Your Original Artwork

About This Project

ArtLit2024: A Celebration of Art, Culture, and Stories that Connect Us

Help us celebrate the art, culture and stories that connect us by sharing your original artwork. Starting now through January 31, 2024, visit your local Broward County Library location, use the provided chalk art supplies, create your original chalk art drawing, and then submit a photo of your creation.

All age groups are encouraged to participate in this unique opportunity. Artists may tackle a variety of issues such as family, belonging, cultural identity, memory and more.

A small selection of artists may be featured at ArtLit2024: A Celebration of Art, Culture, and Stories that Connect Us. ArtLit2024 Festival will take place on Saturday, February 10, from 12:00pm – 5:00pm. The festival, a signature library event, will take place at Lauderhill Central Park, 3810 NW 11th Place (NE corner of Sunrise Blvd. & 441), Lauderhill, FL 33311. 2024 will mark the seventh anniversary of ArtLit, a free, popular community celebration of art and literature for all ages. This event will
celebrate the rich Caribbean cultures of Lauderhill including Jamaica, Trinidad-Tobago, and Haiti. Activities will include chalk artwork displays, food trucks, live cultural performances, community vendors, story times and more.
